It's spring cleaning season! Time for fresh air, getting rid of clutter, and staying organized! Organizing 101 is a series all about cleaning and maintaining those annoying areas in your house. Staying organized is easy when everything has a place to go! We'll cover places like the pantry, the linen closet, and the bedroom closet!

To start off the Organizing 101 Series, I'm sharing some tips for keeping your pantry clean and clear, along with some of my favorite products!

Start with a Purge!

Go through your pantry and clear out everything that is expired or no longer needed. Once you have a cleared space, you can have a better start on organizing what is left.

Keep Everyday Items in Sight

Snacks, drinks, and everyday lunch items should be kept in the front where you can easily grab them and go!

Store Flour, Sugar, and Coffee in Jars

Glass or plastic jars are not only pretty to look at, put they're also practical in any pantry. They're perfect to spot when you're running low on something. Labeling the jars with a glass marker or chalk paint is a great way to stay organized. The jars below from The Container Store are on sale!

Hide Loose Items in Baskets or Bins

The easiest way to get organized quick is with baskets and bins. The Water Hyacinth Bins from The Container Store are my favorite! (And they're also on sale right now!!!) The labels make it easy to know where everything goes. Or if you're looking for something more minimalist, the Yamazaki Black Tosca Basket with Wooden Handles from The Container Store are a great option.
